We want to inform our customers about fraudulent text messages regarding unpaid Ohio Turnpike tolls that are currently being circulated. Please be aware that this is a scam. The Ohio Turnpike Commission will never request payments via text message.

At Portage Community Bank, we will never ask you to provide your card numbers or read us a code you receive. Reputable agencies, including the Ohio Turnpike Commission, adhere to the same standards.

The Federal Trade Commission has noted an increase in these "smishing" scams, so we urge you to stay vigilant. If you receive an unexpected text, remember to protect yourself and reach out to Portage Community Bank for any support or clarification you may need.
